Police in Canada have positively identified a torso found near Lake Ontario harbor as a missing teen.
Rori Hache, 18, of Oshawa, Canada, was last seen by her family on August 29 and reported missing.
‘This is right out of a horror film and she’s a sweetheart,’ her godmother, Krysia Meeldyk, said to CTV Toronto on Friday.
‘She was incredibly bright. She was beautiful. She was smart. She did not deserve to die this way, or at all.’

The family had passed out almost 1,000 flyers with her picture on it, and had just put new ones up three days ago.
A torso belonging to a woman was found floating in the water by a fisherman near the Oshawa Harbor on September 11.
Divers from the Toronto Police Underwater Search and Recovery Team then helped locate evidence in the lake.
‘Results of the post-mortem were inconclusive as far as the cause of death,’ Durham Regional Police said in a releasem, according to the National Post.
‘The death is suspicious and there is evidence of trauma to the victim.’
‘I do know there is a sadistic individual somewhere in our community that would do this to my sweetheart,’ Meeldyk added.
‘If they’re capable of doing this, they need to be caught.’
The family has set up a GoFundMe page to put a bench in her memory near the spot the torso was discovered.
