Real Madrid striker Alvaro Morata has revealed he’s joining Chelsea because they’re the ‘best club’ in England and he wants to work with Antonio Conte.
The 24-year-old is set to have his Chelsea medical today after the Blues agreed a £71million deal with Real Madrid on Wednesday.
The Spanish international had come close to joining Manchester United but the Red Devils hijacked Chelsea’s move for Romelu Lukaku instead.
Morata had been keen on moving to Old Trafford but a move to Stamford Bridge provides him with the chance to play under Antonio Conte for the first time.
