Asamoah Gyan has commissioned an astro turf pitched for his former school, Accra Academy. The Asamoah Gyan Sports Centre, as it is known aims to help Ghana as a whole and students of Accra Academy in particular to train well and excel well in sports.
Commissioning the $200,000 Astro Turf at the school’s compound at Bubiiashie near Kaneshie in Accra, Isaac Asiamah ,the Sports Minister mentioned that the gesture typifies high level of volunteerism.
As a result, he has called on all to celebrate the Black Stars captain for his exemplary leadership qualities and giving back to his alma mater.
