Eagle eyed royalists have spotted that Kate, 35, made her way to Pippa and James Matthews’ wedding in an entirely different ensemble, as a recent photo reveals.
Kate was driven to the venue in Berkshire by Prince William, and the couple were pictured in their Range Rover departing Kensington Palace.
And fans of the Duchess’ style have pointed out that the dress she is wearing in the car is not the same as the peach Alexander McQueen frock she wore during the ceremony
Several bloggers, including What Kate Wore and Kate’s Closest, have identified the dress as a £39.99 floral printed number from high street chain Zara.
The floor-length shirt dress was on sale in summer 2016 and made a sensible choice for Kate to wear en route to the service, as the button down dress could be slipped on and off without disturbing her immaculately coiffed hair or her floral fascinator.
