A plus-sized model is sharing her story after she was fat shamed for her weight by the passenger next to her on her flight.

Natalie Hage was headed to Los Angeleson an American Airlines flight when the man next to her began making it obvious that he wasn’t thrilled by her presence next to him.

Hage had paid an additional $70 for extra leg room but soon found herself anxious as her seat was in the middle.

No sooner than she sat down, the man next to her began ‘LOUDLY huffing, sighing, and readjusting himself in his seat’ for more than 20 minutes before the model notices him text furiously while turning the phone away from her. So of course she looked.

‘The texts were about me and i’m almost positive he took photos of me,’ she said in an Instagram post showing photos she had snapped of the alleged conversation.

‘Not only were the texts about me, but they were really mean and ugly, with even the recipient named ‘linda’ chiming back with shaming retorts…someone who can’t even see the situation.’

  1. She is obese. Never seen an obese person live past 65. She promotes unhealthiness. I have very seldom seen a so called “plus sized woman model” date a plus sized man. I think they campaign like hypocrites to see if they fetch themselves a man that’s slim or in shape. They are just trying to better the chances.

  2. Did you ever hear the saying “what someone thinks about you is none of your business” he didn’t fat shame her.. he sent a private text to a friend. She looked at his private text and SHE made it public ( for publicity for her career no doubt). Additionally when she confronted him, he apologized immediately and 10 times after, yet she kept on scolding him.. While what he texted his friend was not nice… it was none of her business.

  3. The model exposed the sizest comments and misogyny of the man sitting next to her. overweight people are often the objects of ridicule, and it is awful to have your suspicions eventuate into reality, when sitting next to such an entitled jerk. She did take pics of his private texts but she was also showing the world what overweight women have to put up with daily just facing a very judgmental and oppressive public. blaming the object of ridicule by saying it is all her fault that a jerk made such horrible comments about her is just a sad comment about our intolerant, fat shaming, and cruel society consumed with thinness and the promotion of harmful and unhealthful eating disorders to meet the unattainable beauty standards. the man sitting next to her is not some gorgeous fit adonis and she didn’t body shame him.

  4. So, let me get this straight.. you can flaunt around your disgusting fat and blob for people to see, and once he gives his private opinion to someone, you cry? You Americans are truly becoming weirder and weirder.. thou I can bet my left nut she staged all this for some social media coverage. And i can bet my right nut she didn’t lose a pound over this all. It made you feel bad? Eat salads.
