The executive in charge of Apple Music has come under fire for the way he reportedly treated Rihanna at Game 1 of the NBA Finals.
Video from Thursday night’s game in Oakland shows Rihanna, a Cleveland Cavaliers fan, standing up to bow to star player Lebron James after a major play.
A man wearing a Warriors shirt a few seats down is then seen in the background looking angry as he appears to motion towards the pop princess to take a seat.
That man was later identified as Apple Senior Vice President Eddy Cue, who is in charge of the company’s Internet Software and Services division. That division includes the tech company’s streaming service, Apple Music, which offers Rihanna’s music
Rihanna fans were quick to express their outrage on Twitter threatening to boycott Apple Music if Cue didn’t apologize or if the company didn’t fire him.
‘I won’t re-up my subscription until Rihanna gets a FULL & sincere apology from your sexist employee,’ one fan wrote.
Some of the Twitter users even claimed to hear Cue say ‘Tell that b**** to sit down,’ though DailyMail.com has not been able to confirm those reports.
