Noted cannabis aficionado Whoopi Goldberg is getting into the marijuana business.
The “View” co-host, 60, has co-founded “Whoopi & Maya” a new company making marijuana products specifically for women, reports USA Today.
“I want to go nice and slow with this. I don’t want this to be a joke to people. It’s not a joke to women,” she told the paper.
The brand will offer four different products – “a balm, a tincture, sipping chocolate and a bath soak” – all of which will only be available in California to customers with medical marijuana cards. Each aims to offer relief to women suffering from pain and cramps associated with their periods.
Goldberg is the latest celebrity to get involved with the rapidly expanding marijuana industry. She joins a star-studded list that includes the likes of Snoop Dogg and Willie Nelson.
