The planned sack of over 21,000 Kaduna teachers who failed the primary four competency test administered to them has sparked a lot of controversies online lately.
The Kaduna state government has released two statements:
1. that there is no going back on the planned disengagement of the teachers;
2. Condemning the state’s chapter of the Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC) and the Nigerian Union of Teachers (NUT) for attacking the state’s House of Assembly complex and vandalizing government properties.
Social media users, as usual, are divided between letting the teachers go and retraining them.
