DJ Khaled has been sued for allegedly stealing beats for his hit single I Got The Keys featuring Jay Z and Future.
The 41-year-old rapper was sued by producer Chris Hill who claimed he met Khaled in October 2008 at an Atlanta nightclub, according to an article on Thursday by TMZ.
Hill said he produced the beat in March 2008 and it appeared in his Chris Hill Beats [Gangsta Boogie Vol 2] before he gave Khaled a CD of it at the Atlanta club.

The lawsuit claimed that Hill never heard from Khaled but immediately recognized his work eight years later when I Got The Keys was released in July 2016.
Hill in his lawsuit noted that I Got The Keys has racked up more than 79 million views on YouTube.

Hill was seeking an unspecified cut of profits from the song.
I Got The Keys was certified as a platinum-seller in December after selling more than 1 million digital copies.
The song was released on July 4, 2106 as the second single from Khaled’s ninth studio album Major Key.

Khaled meanwhile stepped out in style Thursday at the Beverly Hills Hotel to announce the title of his upcoming 10th album, Grateful.
He wore a shiny pink suit for the press conference and brought along his wife Nicole Tuck and three-month-old son Asahd Tuck Khaled.
The album title party drew a star-studded cloud including Chance the Rapper, Busta Rhymes and Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs.

Khaled’s last album Major Key has been nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Rap Album.
He’s competing against Chance The Rapper, De La Soul, Drake, ScHoolboy Q and Kanye West at the awards ceremony being held on Sunday in Los Angeles.
Khaled was previously nominated in 2012 in the Best Rap/Sung Collaboration category for I’m On One with Drake, Lil’ Wayne & Rick Ross.
